Hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

Upper abdominal pain.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

Multiple hypoattenuating (and hypoenhancing) lesions coalesce to form confluent masses distributed in the periphery of the liver in a submarginal location, some of which accompanied by capsular retraction. The lesions show a target pattern of enhancement.

Pathology proved hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma.

Case Discussion

Hepatic epithelioid hemangioendothelioma is a rare vascular neoplasm which is locally aggressive with metastatic potential.
