Recurrent epigastric pain

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

ultrasound

Transverse and sagittal scans of the liver, show two non-homogeneous hyperechogenic areas at the right liver lobe; one in segment VII and the other one in segment VI, suggestive of hepatic hemangiomas.

mri

Selected axial T2 images of the liver show homogeneous high signal intensity of the lesions, giving light bulb appearance, consistent with hepatic hemangiomas.

Case Discussion

Ultrasound and MRI appearance are characteristic of hepatic hemangiomas.
