The MRI sequences demonstrate:
- a lobulated exophytic mass arising from the left lobe of the liver measuring (6.8 x 5.2 x 4 cm). It elicits a low signal on T1, high signal on T2/T2 fat with discontinuous nodular, peripheral enhancement on arterial phase, progressive centripetal fill-in on portal venous phase and incomplete fill-in on delayed phase. On DWI it shows a high signal with mixed signal on ADC.
- other small similar hepatic lesions are noted, the largest is located in the segments, 7 (1.4 cm), and 4 (1.6 cm)
- small simple hepatic cysts are noted in segment 8 and left lobe
- a small well-defined lobulated intrasplenic lesion is noted, measuring (2.9 x 2.3 x 2 cm) os similar signal and enhancement to that located in the left lobe of the liver
Case Discussion
MRI features of a hepatic haemangiomatosis, the largest is pedunculated in the left lobe with associated splenic hemangioma.
