Presentation

Right upper quadrant abdominal pain for just over a month.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male
ultrasound

Obligue right subcostal ultrasound scan. Segment 5 and 6 of the liver are occupied by a large, oval shaped cystic lesion, measuring 10.5 x 7.5 cm; with few "daughter cysts" within the main "parent cyst".

The clinical and radiological context is compatible with hydatid cyst of the liver.
