A large rounded exophytic hepatic cystic lesion occupying most of the left lobe with septations, containing homogeneous hypodense fluid content. It is markedly compressing the stomach posteriorly.
Case Discussion
Features are typical of a large hepatic hydatid cyst, with numerous daughter cysts. Daughter cysts are one of the most characteristic imaging findings of hepatic hydatid cysts. The left lobar location of the hydatic cyst makes it suitable for partial hepatic resection.
