Large well-defined unilocular cystic lesion of the right lobe of the liver with homogeneous fluid content and thick dense regular wall measuring 17 x 12 x 10 cm. No peripheral enhancement following IV contrast. A mass effect is noted on the duodenopancreatic region, gallbladder and right kidney. No dilatation of the intra-or extrabiliary radicles.
Case Discussion
The clinical presentation and CT feature are most consistent with a hepatic hydatid cyst stage CE1 (WHO classification).
Serological tests for hydatid disease were positive.
