Presentation

Abdominal pain.

Patient Data

Age: 14 years
Gender: Female

Two large thick-walled hepatic cystic lesions located in segments 7 and 4/8 with internal septations and some focal wall calcifications. There is no sign of enhancing solid components within.

Case Discussion

The CT features are most consistent with hepatic hydatid cysts.

The liver is the most common site of hydatid infection.
