Presentation

Presented to ER with a knife wound injury of the abdomen. Abdominal ultrasound was performed within 30 minutes of patient's arrival to hospital.

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

Ultrasound showed a hyperechoic region with a hypoechoic rim, representing a hepatic laceration with a hematoma with surrounding blood.
