A large well-defined hepatic mass lesion is seen mainly occupying the left lobe with predominate cystic areas and enhancement of intervening soft tissue components. It is displacing bowel loops and the stomach.
A nasogastric tube is seen in place.
Case Discussion
Hepatic mesenchymal hamartoma is a rare pediatric hepatic tumor that occurs in the first two years of age. It usually presents with progressive abdominal enlargement. Radiologically, it appears as a complex mixed cystic and solid mass with dominant cystic components.
