Hepatoblastoma

Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Palpable abdominal mass. Serum AFP at 60650 IU/ml

Patient Data

Age: 2 months
Gender: Male
mri

Large well-circumscribed lobulated mass of the left lobe of the liver, measuring (8 x 7.5 x 7 cm) of low signal intensity on T1WI, heterogeneous high signal on T2WI with restricted diffusion on DWI/ADC. The postcontrast sequences show a heterogeneous enhancement. The portal vein as well as the hepatic veins are displaced but remain patent. No dilatation of the biliary tree. No Abdominal lymphadenopathy is seen.

Case Discussion

The increased serum level of AFP and MRI features are highly suggestive of hepatoblastoma.
