Hepatocellular carcinoma

Presentation

Right upper quadrant pain. Known hepatitis B infection.

Patient Data

Age: Adult
Gender: Male

A huge liver mass is present in the left lobe, demonstrating irregular enhancement, and central low density areas indicative of necrosis. It is displacing bowels, and is seen indenting the stomach. Note presence of multiple fluid density lesions within the liver in line with benign cysts. 

Case Discussion

This patient went on to have a tissue diagnosis confirming a massive hepatocellular carcinoma.
