Patient Data
Right hepatic lobe focal lesion with a homogenous wash-in of contrast on arterial phase with wash out on delayed phase. It measures 32 x 35 mm in the maximum axial dimensions.
Liver cirrhosis with enlarged spleen. Mild ascites.
Dilated caliber of the portal vein with hypodense thrombus nearly filling its lumen down to the level of the superior mesenteric vein.
Case Discussion
65 years old male patient with abdominal pain and altered liver function.
CT images demonstrate an arterially enhancing focal liver mass with washout, portal and superior mesenteric vein, enlarged spleen as well as a small volume of ascites.
CT findings keep with hepatocellular carcinoma with portal and superior mesenteric vein thrombosis.
