Incidental finding in ankle trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 11 years
Gender: Male

Patchy T2 hyperintense and T1 hypointense marrow signal of the tarsal bones.

Note: This case has been tagged as "legacy" as it no longer meets image preparation and/or other case publication guidelines.

Case Discussion

This is a normal finding in the immature skeleton and should not be interpreted as osteomyelitis 1.
