Live intrauterine gestational sac detected. Fetal heart activity present (174 bpm). Small subchorionic hematoma.
Left tubal gestation sac also detected. Fetal heart activity present (170 bpm).
Small volume right adnexal and right iliac fossa free fluid. No free fluid in the rectouterine pouch.
Overall, findings demonstrate simultaneous live intrauterine and live ectopic pregnancies (heterotopic pregnancy).
Case Discussion
A rare case of simultaneous live intrauterine and ectopic pregnancies, also known as heterotopic pregnancy. The patient underwent laparoscopic left salpingectomy with removal of the ectopic pregnancy.
