Injection of iodinated contrast through a 22G Quincke needle, shows the needle is in an intra-articular position.

The hip joint is distended with injecate. The needle is still in situ.
Case Discussion
Technically successful hip anesthetic arthrogram injection. The injection of iodinated contrast first flows into the medial aspect of the joint and knowing the different normal appearances of arthrogram injections will help unnecessary needle repositioning.
