Case Discussion
Multiple target sites for hip arthrograms have been described. The shown technique utilizes an oblique needle course in line with the femoral neck. The image stacks show freely flowing iodinated contrast. The subsequent images show filling of the head neck portion of the hip joint and looks like a 'ring of Saturn', which the joint distending above the zona orbicularis, a thicker aspect of the capsule.
