Bilateral abnormal marrow signal intensities in the femoral heads characteristic of avascular necrosis (AVN); a hypointense line adjacent to a hyperintense line with surrounding marrow edematous changes.
Mild and minimal effusions at the left and right hip joints respectively.
Case Discussion
The patient referred to us with a history of chronic left hip pain from 4 months ago with no obvious history of drug consumption, trauma, and underlying disease. Appearances are those of avascular necrosis of the femoral head on both sides.
