Dilated bowel with no bowel seen in the pelvis. No evidence of free gas.
Case Discussion
The patient proceeded to contrast enema study which confirmed the presence of small caliber rectum and distal colon (images not available). The patient was successfully treated surgically and histology confirmed the absence of colonic ganglion cells (aganglionosis).
