PA chest x-ray demonstrates a soft tissue density on the right side. Hilar vessels can be seen through the mass and the rest of the lungs and the pleura appear unremarkable.

Case Discussion

Hilum overlay sign in a patient with mediastinal Hodgkin's lymphoma.

The hilum overlay sign refers to an appearance of frontal chest x- rays of patients with a mass located at the level of the hilum, but is either anterior or posterior to the hilum.
