Midline fusion of lower poles of both kidneys anterior to abdominal aorta. Anterolaterally directed bilateral extra renal pelvis. Normal ureters on both sides. Normal urinary bladder and prostate.
Case Discussion
The most common renal fusion anomaly is the horseshoe kidney and it is more prone for urinary tract infections. Documentation of such an anatomical variant also prevents any iatrogenic injury during any abdominal surgery.
