Horseshoe kidney

Bilateral flank pain.

Patient Data

Age: 18 years
Gender: Female

IVU images demonstrate nephrograms and pyelograms of both kidneys with their lower poles close to the midline (reverse of the normal).

Mild dilatation of calyceal system is noted on both sides.

Case Discussion

The features described above are suggestive of horseshoe kidney with bilateral caliectasis.
