The control film illustrates the abnormal orientation of the kidneys with the soft tissue isthmus, in keeping with a horseshoe kidney. No renal tract calculi.
Following IV contrast, the 5 and 70 minute films confirm the collecting system are in keeping with a horseshoe kidney, with the left sided moiety, showing a progressively dilated collecting system in keeping with PUJ obstruction, a known association.
