Presentation

Anterior shoulder pain in a skater fallen with arm in hyperadduction and external rotation.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Male

Fat saturated T1 coronal image shows the posterior band of the glenohumeral ligament thickened and irregular with contrast insinuating along the humeral margin and extension of the extra-articular contrast. The medial retraction of the fibers of the lower humeral glenohumeral ligament creates a J configuration.
