Presentation

Pain and severely reduced motion in the right shoulder after fall in her flat.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

Comminuted oblique fracture of the surgical neck of the left humerus with inferior dislocation of the left shoulder.

Case Discussion

This individual had a history of previous fractures (pubic bone, clavicle), and referred for help with extremely reduced left shoulder motion and severe pain after she stumbled over doorstep in her flat and felt on the left side (hetero anamnestic information).

Sent to the orthopedic surgeon for further evaluation and treatment.
