The cortical bone of the greater tuberosity of the right humerus is partially avulsed at the attachment of the supraspinatus tendon. The underlying altered bone marrow shows the low signal in T1 and high signal in T2/PD FS sequences.
The supraspinatus tendon shows abnormal increased fluid signal in T2/PD FS at its insertion point associated with subacromial subdeltoid bursae.
Case Discussion
Regarding the patient history and imaging findings, humeral greater tuberosity avulsion fracture and partial supraspinatus tendon tear is the final diagnosis.
