Humeral head pseudolesion

Case contributed by Dr Bruno Di Muzio

Fall onto shoulder.

Patient Data

Age: 30-year-old
Gender: Male

No evidence of fracture or malalignment.

On the internal rotation projection, a pseudolesion with a thin sclerotic border and radiolucent centre is seen in the humeral head; this disappears in the other two projections.

Case Discussion

This pseudo lesion should not be mistaken for a lytic bone lesion
