Humeral lesser tuberosity avulsion fracture

There is a bony defect involving inferior part of lesser tuberosity of the humerus; measuring about 16 x 12 mm in two orthogonal planes. It is the site of attachment of inferior fibers of the subscapularis. Cranial fibers of subscapularis show normal insertion. Biceps long head, supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendons are intact. There is no subdeltoid-subacromial bursal effusion or glenohumeral joint effusion.
Case Discussion
Female presented with left shoulder pain after trauma. Ultrasound shows avulsion of inferior part of lesser tuberosity of the humeral head where inferior fibers of subscapularis are attached. MRI was done later showing same findings.
