A right-sided posterolateral urinary bladder diverticulum opens near the right vesicoureteric junction, along with subtle bilateral vesicoureteric reflux.
No calculi, ureterocele or wall thickening.
Case Discussion
This case demonstrates a typical Hutch diverticulum, a congenital bladder diverticulum seen near the vesicoureteric junction, resulting from a weakness in the detrusor muscle. It may cause urinary tract infection, incontinence, urinary retention, and vesicoureteric reflux.
Bilateral Hutch diverticula can cause Mickey Mouse appearance.
