Hutch diverticulum

Patient refers right abdominal pain. Renal ultrasound shows aa right hydronephrosis, CT was performed to determine the cause.

Patient Data

Age: 30
Gender: Male

CT study shows the presence of Hutch diverticulum at right vesicoureteric junction. Presence of dilated right urether and hydronephrosis in the right kidney likely secondary to vesicoureteric reflux. The urinary bladder wall thickness is increased.

Case Discussion

A Hutch diverticulum is a congenital bladder diverticulum, seen at vesicoureteric junction.
