Age: 2 months
Gender: Male
x-ray

VCUG shows 'bladder ears' (normal outpouchings seen in infants depicting projection of bladder into the inguinal canals) bilaterally, with asymmetric outpouching on left side (Hutch diverticulum).

ultrasound

A bladder diverticulum is seen communicating with bladder as well as ureter on left side. U = ureter, D = diverticulum, UB = urinary bladder.

Case Discussion

A Hutch diverticulum is a congenital diverticulum arising at the distal ureter near the vesicoureteric junction.
