Hydranencephaly

Enlarged head with CSF fluid replacing predominantly the bilateral fronto-parietal regions.
Marked cerebral destruction of both cerebral hemispheres predominately in the distribution of mid-cerebral arteries is noted. Minimal residual tissue identified bilaterally.
The interhemispheric fissure is centered on the midline.
Lateral ventricles are not visualized clearly.
Third and fourth ventricles are unremarkable.
No abnormalities are seen in thalami.
The brain stem and cerebellum appear normal.
