31 weeks pregnancy scan and postnatal imaging

Patient Data

Gender: Female
X-ray

generalized edema

Ultrasound

Anasarca, pleural, pericardial effusions and ascitis.

Placenta is enlarged.

Case Discussion

31 week pregnant lady with history of absent fetal movement. US confirmed absent fetal cardiac motion and the presence of diffuse skin edema, ascites and pleural effusion. Findings are consistent with hydrops fetalis.
