Tortuous tubular structure with a hyperintense signal (on T1/T2) in the right adnexa that can be followed to the tubouterine junction, a finding suggestive of a dilated fallopian tube with proteinaceous contents
This is coupled with milder similar changes on the left side (low on T1 and high on T2)
No water restriction on DWI images
No evidence of abnormal enhancement
No uterine abnormality
Small intramural myoma at uterine fundus posterior wall.
Case Discussion
Hydrosalpinx is a descriptive term and refers to a fluid-filled dilatation of the fallopian tube.
