Two calcific deposits are visible at the medial side of the knee, adjacent to MCL, in the location of POL and femoral attachment of MPFL, with some adjacent soft tissue edema.
MCL and the medial meniscus are unremarkable.
Case Discussion
HADD is typically found in the rotator cuff tendons but can occur in other joints as well. Acute onset of pain without trauma and characteristic appearance of periarticular calcific deposits, often with adjacent soft tissue edema usually point to this diagnosis.
