Enlarged right ovary measuring about 140 x 102 mm, with multiple thin-walled, clear cysts.
Left ovary measures 107 x 66.9 mm with multiple thin-walled cysts having clear contents.
Case Discussion
Hyperreactio luteinalis is a rare condition observed with elevated level of β hCG, like in gestational trophoblastic disease, multiple pregnancies. The appearance is of bilateral enlarged ovaries with multiple thin walled clear cysts, and significant solid component representing residual ovarian tissue. They do not require any treatment and resolve on evacuation of the molar pregnancy or in case of normal pregnancy, post delivery.
