Presentation

Uncontrolled hypertensive patient. Sudden onset loss of consciousness.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

Non contrast CT of the brain demonstrates an acute intracerebral hemorrhage centered in the left basal ganglia and thalamus with associated perifocal edema. There is intraventricular dissection of the blood in the left lateral and 3rd ventricles.
