Right knee pain.

Patient Data

Age: 75 years
Gender: Male

x-ray

Periosteal reaction around the right knee without an underlying bone lesion.

Chest

x-ray

The subsequent chest radiograph revealed a right upper lobe lung mass, which ultimately was biopsy-proven lung adenocarcinoma.

Periosteal reaction around the right knee joint without an underlying bone lesion; hypertrophic osteoarthropathy secondary to primary lung cancer in this case.
