Hypothenar hammer syndrome

Presentation

Carpenter by profession - for last 30 yrs. C/o pain in wrist - proximal palm - few days. Numbness in 4th and 5th digits. Referred for radiograph and local part ultrasound.

Age: about 55 yrs.
Gender: Male
Modality: Ultrasound

Normal radiograph.

Modality: Ultrasound

Thrombus in superficial palmer branch of ulnar artery. Thrombosed segment is not compressible.

  Wall thickening is present in longer segment.
