Idiopathic intracranial hypertension

Bilateral papilledema grade 2

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

The MRI sequences demonstrate:

  • enlarged subarachnoid space around the optic nerves
  • vertical tortuosity of the optic nerves
  • flattening of the posterior sclera bilaterally
  • Partially empty sella turcica
  • moderate enlargement of the Meckel cava
  • Bilateral smooth stenosis of the distal segment of both transverse sinuses
