From the case:
Ileal atresia - proximal
Frontal

Multiple dilated proximal small bowel loops with multiple air-fluid levels.
From the case:
Ileal atresia - proximal
Single contrast barium enema

No evidence of microcolon or stenosis.
Case Discussion
Initial radiograph shows features of distal small bowel obstruction.
A contrast enema performed ruled out a microcolon.
Child symptomaticaly worsened over a period of time, was operated. Confirmed to be atresia of the proximal ileum.
