In this case of invasive bladder cancer, post radical cystectomy, an ileal conduit was done where in both the ureters are anastomosed to an upstream loop of ileum and the downstream loop is opened into the skin as a stoma.
Ileal conduits are still done as a urinary diversion technique in invasive bladder malignancies. It is an incontinent diversion.
