Ileocecal adenocarcinoma

Presentation

Abdominal pain and progressive distension.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female
ct

Post-operative changes are seen at proximal stomach due to partial gastrectomy.

Small bowel loops are distended and contrast filled and there is transitional zone at terminal ileum just before the ileocecal valve. Mild increased wall thickness is noted at ileocecal region accompanied by a few small regional lymphadenopathies with maximum SAD of 8 mm. 

A little amount free fluid is present at pelvis.

Degenerative changes as osteophytosis are seen at the lumbar spine.

Case Discussion

The patient underwent diagnostic colonoscopy and histopathology evaluation confirms adenocarcinoma.
