Increased wall thickness due to tumoral infiltration is noted at ileocecal regions, causing ileocolocolic intussusception. Mild surrounding fat stranding and a few enlarged pericolic lymph nodes are also evident.
A few myomas are seen in the uterus.
Case Discussion
The patient underwent a right hemicolectomy, and histopathology findings confirmed colon adenocarcinoma.
Gastrointestinal malignancy, particularly colorectal cancer, is the most common cause of intussusception in adults, accounting for 65% of cases.
