Imperforate hymen with hematocolpos
Vagina is ballooned and filled with fluid with homogenous coarse internal echoes- a characteristic presentation of hematocolpos.
Case Discussion
Ultrasound can detect hematocolpos, which is almost always associated with imperforate hymen at this age group. This case shows typical sonographic presentation of the case.
