An implantable loop recorder is present in the medial aspect of the left breast, projecting over the left cardiac border.
Implantable loop recorders (ILR) are used in patients with syncope, palpitations, atrial fibrillation (current or risk for) and in the post-myocardial infarction setting for risk stratification.
