Incidental lung cancer detection

Trauma x-ray revealed a left proximal humeral fracture. There is also a slight lung opacity, indeterminate. 

Preoperative CT scan for left shoulder revealed a spiculated lung nodule with high suspicious for cancer. 

Nuclear medicine

Scintigraphy shows radiopharmaceutical uptake on the left lung nodule and in a mediastinal lymph-node. 

Case Discussion

Patient presented to emergency room for a proximal humeral fracture. Pre-op CT revealed a left upper lobe cancer.
