Left proximal humeral fracture. There is also an indeterminate subtle focal lung opacity. 

Preoperative left shoulder CT


Spiculated lung nodule with high suspicion for cancer was demonstrated. Also partially imaged emphysema, ?smoking history. 

Nuclear medicine

Scintigraphy shows radiopharmaceutical uptake in the left lung nodule and a mediastinal lymph node.

Case Discussion

Patient presented to the emergency room with a proximal left humeral fracture. Preoperative CT revealed an incidental left upper lobe cancer.
