There is complete cut injury involving index finger extensor tendon. Proximal torn ends are at second metacarpal base level. Distal torn ends are near the base of the index finger proximal phalanx base. The gap between torn ends is about 59 mm.

This patient presented with a recent history of a cut injury to the dorsum of the left hand followed by a loss of index finger extension.
