Infected epidermal inclusion cyst in male breast

There is a well-defined heterogeneous (mainly hypoechoic to the surrounding fat tissue, with internal concentric rings) lesion seen in the left retroareolar area with posterior acoustic enhancement and peripheral vascularity surrounded by echogenic fat and skin thickening.

Case Discussion
The diagnosis was confirmed by pathology to be an infected epidermal inclusion cyst, which is an uncommon benign lesion, It is commonly located in the skin layer of the breast, but may also occur deep in the breast parenchyma.
