A well-defined left upper cervical ovoid cystic mass at the mandibular angle between the SCM muscle laterally and carotid vessels and internal jugular vein medially. It shows a thick enhanced wall with a homogeneous fluid content. No significant cervical lymphadenopathy.
Case Discussion
The CT features are highly suggestive of infected second branchial cleft cyst type II according to Bailey classification of second branchial cleft cysts and considered the most common and corresponds to the classic description of these lesions in the submandibular space.
