Presentation
Mass of the right posterolateral abdominal wall. Past history of a road traffic accident with fracture of the right femoral head, and iliac crest bone graft.
Patient Data

There is a right lumbar hernia below the 12th rib, and through the iliac crest defect, and inferior lumbar triangle, containing the coecum, ascending colon as well as ileal loops with no bowel obstruction seen.
Case Discussion
CT features of an acquired secondary inferior lumbar hernia (Petit hernia) through the inferior lumbar triangle, and iliac crest defect.
The incidence of lumbar hernia following iliac crest bone graft is around 5% to 9% 1. Surgery is usually recommended due to the risk of incarceration (25%) and strangulation (10%) 1.
